Wellness Weekend: August 7, 2009 – Living to 100

August 7, 2009 by Jim

I came across this fascinating web site – Living to 100 – and I wanted to share it with you. I encourage you to take the 10 minute quiz to get an estimate of how long you are expected to live. It was encouraging to see the multiple dimensions of health and wellness that get incorporated into the age-estimate. As many of you know, I am a big proponent of focusing on the multiple dimensions of health, and like to borrow the acronym that the Wellness Center at Villanova uses – SPICES (Social, Physical, Intellectual, Career, Emotional, and Spiritual) – as an easy way to remember that there is more to being well than just being physically fit.

I took the quiz, and I am expected to live until the age of 93. I was hoping to hit 100, but at least I still have 42 years to go, which gives me a lot of time to make my dreams come true!

I’d love to see where you come out, so feel free to share your results at the end of this blog posting.

May you live long and prosper…
